Originally from China, Nan Jiang came to Canada in 1992 from the Yangzhou Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting where he taught painting, drawing, Chinese painting and murals. He has a B.A. and a M.F.A. in visual arts from Nanjing College of Arts, China.

As a visiting professor at the University of Saskatchewan, he taught drawing and traditional Chinese painting. During his tenure in Saskatoon, he drew a large mural "Two Dragons Play The Ball" (78' X 16') for the Riverdale Business Improvement Community of Saskatoon.

Nan has exhibited in China and Canada and continues to paint, design, and teach. He currently teaches at the Ottawa School of Art in the General Program.
