Sue Wilkinson was born in Toronto. After giving birth to twin daughters, she attended the Ottawa School of Art where she passed with Honours. Since then, she has been a free-lance illustrator for over 27 years working mostly in the Toronto and Ottawa areas. First establishing herself as a children's book illustrator, Sue later expanded her artistic repertoire to include advertising design. Finding the latter not stimulating enough, she returned to children's book illustration, expanding into design. After moving back to Ottawa, Sue launched into the world of animation with layout, background painting and layout design. She currently lives with her youngest daughter, two cats, Buddy and Holly, and a garden that the local ground hog now can only dream about.
