The School, as a respectable centre of life-long learning, provides pre- and post professional
visual arts trainng to approximately
2000 students each year.
Your gift ensures that we continually provide excellence in our diverse programming by:
* Keeping tuition fees affordable, enabling more students to take art coursess
* Engaging professional artist-instructors who have experience teaching in their respective discipline
* keeping students-to-instructor ratio low to maximize individual attention and guidance
* Providing diverse, accessible programming to everyone in the community
* Offerng state-of-the-art studio equipment in specialized studio areas
Bursary Assistance for Students with Financial Needs
Through your generous support and United Way International, the School made art educaton more accessible and affordable to
44 students in the spring 2005 term alone!
* 32 children and youth were assisted by bursaries in the Children's Program
* 12 students were assisted by bursaries in the General Program

Art Outreach Programming in the Community
This year, the Art Outreach Program provided free community-based art courses for
over 160 students facing economic and social barriers in the community.
The Program has improved the lives and learning capacity of disadvantage children through direct involvement in visual art courses taught by professional artists.

Accessible Gallery for the Whole Community
The OSA Gallery, as one of Ottawa's most accessible gallery spaces attracts over
50,000 visitors each year.
The OSA Gallery is well recognized for mounting shows that present outstanding artistic merits,
educational value, as well as reflecting and celebrating the current artistic community in Ottawa

Each Fall, through the hard work of over 60 volunteers,
our 11 gallery partners and numerous sponsors.
The School, STO and OCTranspo shuttles over 1000 art
lovers and newcomers alike to local art galleries
