ver 1.1 Photographic work by Aaron McKenzie Fraser On Thursday March 6th, the Ottawa School of Art Gallery (OSA Gallery) is pleased to present recent work by Aaron McKenzie Fraser. Photographer/Photologist, Aaron Mckenzie Fraser finds reality a little bizarre. Drawing his inspiration from vintage clothing, dusty antique shops and other orphaned "ready made" objects, Fraser blends his models into surrealistic environments. His manic approach, rich in colour, evokes a skewed style that’s one part high fashion and one part fun house. In “costume_ology version 1.1”, his first installation, he combines the photographic series featuring his models, Darcy and Mr. Dave, and the costumes they wore. “costume_ology” proves that some people are more like themselves, when they are dressed like someone else. Aaron has formal training in photography, multi-media design and production, as well as a BA from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. The opening is to be held at 6pm on Thursday March 6, 2003 at the Ottawa School of Art.
