Original and affordable fine art by talented local artists, just in time for ChristmasAt the The Ottawa School of Art 2004 Annual Holiday Fundraiser Art Sale, December 2 nd to December 20, 2004. Opening reception Thursday, December 2 nd from 5-10pm. (Ottawa, November 5, 2004)…The Ottawa School of Art is pleased to announce the launch of its annual Holiday Art Fundraising Sale, featuring a wide range of unique and affordable works of art created by the students, instructors and alumni of the School. Hundred’s of small works of every style and medium will be on display in the OSA Gallery. The exhibition is a fundraiser for the School and the student association and it also provides the public with the opportunity to see the variety of techniques and styles of work being generated at the School In addition it provides OSA members with a chance to showcase their creativity. The Art Sale exhibition offers only original works of art, created in a wide variety of media (paintings, drawing, prints, ceramics, sculptures, photographs), sizes and prices. As well, several Best in Show awards will be granted. The official opening of the Ottawa School of Art Holiday Fundraising Art Sale will take place at the Ottawa School of Art Gallery on Thursday, December 2 nd from 5-10pm. The Ottawa School of Art offers Diploma and Certificate Programs, and a full range of community level art courses including drawing, painting, photography, new media, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and a wide variety of specialized short courses and workshops. Children's and Teens' classes range from multi-media to animation and cartooning, to sculpture and construction, pottery, drawing and painting. The Ottawa School of Art is located at 35 George Street in the Byward Market. Look for the totem pole.
