VOLATILIA

Volatilia, which comes from the word ‘fowl’ in Spanish (or French), is a ‘flying animalia’; this fantastic zoology offers, in its formal structure and its composition, an ironic portrait of our changing reality. The interest for the grotesque, as a mode of graphic representation, distorts and disfigures natural forms in which human features can be seen through the animal metamorphosis.

Volatilia, qui provient du mot volatile, consiste en une zoologie fantastique d’animaux volants et offre, de par sa structure formelle et sa composition, un portrait ironique de notre réalité changeante. L’intérêt pour le grotesque, comme mode de représentation graphique, implique une déformation et une défiguration des formes naturelles envisageant une création de la métamorphose volatile, à l’intérieur de laquelle les traits de la figure humaine se manifestent.
