Peer Group Meetings
Twice per semester in the fall and winter terms, all mentorship students meet for group critiques, discussions, gallery/shop visits and/or workshop/seminar activities. These gatherings contain comprehensive and useful information on the state and conditions of being a Contemporary Craft Artist. Due to the studio time spent separately from one another, these peer group meeting help in the formation of community and networking ties.
In addition to a relationship with mentors, the program aims to provide a peer group for all crafts students. Rotating facilitators, mentors, teachers and artists direct these group critiques of students’ work. Practical workshops and seminars will be part of these group sessions.
