The Ottawa School of Art Orléans Campus Gallery is proud to present Congenital Analgesia., an exhibition of works by Shabnam Zeraati. This exhibition is on display from Thursday May 1 to Thursday June 26, 2025, in the Orléans Campus Gallery located on the main floor of the Shenkman Arts Centre at 245 Centrum Blvd., Orléans.

Congenital Analgesia explores our growing insensitivity to global crises broadcast by the media: wars, terrorist attacks, segregation, poverty, etc. It questions how, despite ourselves, we gradually become accustomed to the gravity of these events, thereby trivializing their emotional impact.
Of Iranian origin, Shabnam Zeraati settled in Canada (Quebec) in 2011. She has been living and working in Sainte-Adèle, in the Laurentians, since 2020. After completing her studies in graphic design in Tehran…
