About the event
Exhibition info:
In February 2025, over 3 days, 1000 people of all ages and background came together at the National Gallery of Canada to create a larger-than-life weaving wall using strips of upcycled fabric at the National Gallery of Canada. Each strip was knotted and woven while guided by a memory, sentiment or feeling. The resulting work is displayed before you. Each panel serves as a reminder that despite our differences, we are deeply connected - a living record of the collective memory we become part of simply by existing.
Vernissage: Thursday march 5th, 6pm - 8pm
Organization info:
EcoEquitable is a registered charity in Ottawa on a mission to empower newcomer women and women experiencing barriers while reducing textile waste by stitching together community, sustainability and creativity.
