11th International Miniprint Biennale

A global call for miniature print artists

Submit up to four original prints, no larger than 10 × 10 cm, accepting entries from professional artists everywhere.

Why Enter

For over two decades, the Miniprint Biennale has brought together printmakers from around the world to prove that scale has nothing to do with impact. Selected artists join an international exhibition catalogue, a juried show at OSA's J.W. Stellick gallery, and a chance to win Prizes of Excellence across five printmaking categories.

Submission deadline

January 8, 2027, 5:00 p.m. EST

Late or incomplete entries cannot be considered, build in mailing time, especially if you're entering from outside Canada.

Exhibition dates

March 4 – May 9, 2027

Entry fee

$25 CAD (first work) + $10 CAD per additional work (up to 4)

Prizes of Excellence

Awarded across five categories:

  • Intaglio prints

  • Lithographic prints

  • Relief prints

  • New Media + Cyanotype prints

  • Silkscreen prints

Who Can Enter

Open to all professional artists, worldwide. Your prints must:

  • Be made using any generally accepted graphic printmaking technique

  • Have been produced since January 1, 2024

  • Be signed and numbered by you, the artist


You may submit up to 4 prints total.

Size Requirements

Precision matters here, these are hard limits for jurying:

  • Print image: max 10 cm × 10 cm

  • Matrix (paper, cloth, etc.): max 20 cm × 20 cm

  • Matting (plain white matboard, "passe-partout" + backing board): max 25 cm × 25 cm

Entry Fees

First work - $25 CAD
Each additional work (up to 3 more) - $10 CAD

Fees are non-refundable and cover return postage of your prints. Work cannot be submitted to the jury until fees are received.

Ways to pay:

  • Online via Eventbrite (preferred) 

  • Canadian or international money order

  • International bank draft, payable to Ottawa School of Art

  • In person at OSA reception (cash, debit, or credit) — local artists only

Cheques are not accepted.

What to Include in Your Entry Package

  1. Completed entry form

  2. The prints themselves (up to 4), matted per the size requirements

  3. Proof of entry fee payment (or Eventbrite confirmation page)

  4. Your artist résumé (1 page max)

  5. A short statement about your submitted work (75 words max)

International entrants: mark your package "Printed Matter — No Commercial Value" to avoid customs delays.

Good to Know

  • All selected artists receive a copy of the exhibition catalogue; extra copies are $12 CAD.

  • All submitted works must be for sale. OSA takes a 35% commission on sales, paid via e-Transfer (Canadian artists) or PayPal (international artists).

  • Unsold, unselected work is returned within three months of the exhibition's close, once fees are confirmed received.

  • Selected artists and prizewinners will be posted on this page.

Miniprint Exhibition 2025 - Prize Winners
