Why We’re Making This Change
The Ottawa School of Art is always looking for ways to improve how our community connects with visual art education. We know how frustrating it can be to look forward to registering for a course, just to have the site crash.
This is why we are transitioning to a new registration system, Amilia SmartRec, on March 9th to help improve your experience registering for and managing your courses.
What Will Be Different?

A new registration interface

Improved mobile experience
While it may look different, the goal is to make registration easier overall.
Our new system will help:
Simplify the registration process
Improve online access
Provide better account management for families and students

After this date:
All new registrations will happen through the new platform
Some users may need to create a new account the first time they register

FAQ
Will I Need to Create a New Account?
In most cases, yes.
Because we are moving to the new Amilia SmartRec platform, you will be asked to create a new login the first time you register after launch. This process only takes a few minutes.
Ottawa School of Art members within the last year will receive an email to activate their new account with Amilia.
Is My Information Safe?
Yes. The new system uses secure payment processing and industry-standard data protection measures with data stored in Canada. Your privacy and security remain a priority for the Ottawa School of Art.
What if I forget my password?
You can reset it easily using the “Forgot Password” link.
Can I still register in person or by phone?
Yes. Our staff can assist you if you need support.
Will prices change?
No — this change is about improving the system, not pricing.
