The Ottawa School of Art (OSA) was proud to participate in Nuit Blanche Ottawa (NBO), a one-night cultural event celebrating art, creativity, and community through an immersive overnight experience. Our ByWard Market Campus, located at 35 George Street, served as an official local activation space, welcoming visitors from 7 p.m. to midnight for an evening of artistic demonstrations, hands-on activities, and live performances.

The evening featured steamroller printmaking in collaboration with the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective (OGPC), offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience this large-scale printmaking technique. Guests also took part in demonstrations and interactive sessions in ceramics, drawing, cartooning, and printmaking, accompanied by drumming, choir, and dance performances.

Nuit Blanche Ottawa coincided with the Downtown Instructors’ Exhibition, alongside ongoing exhibitions in the Lee Matasi Gallery, OSA Boutique, and the lobby gallery space. Visitors could also explore the group exhibitions Where Are You Hiding? and the Ottawa Poster Show, on display at Gallery 55 in ByWard Market Square.

The event highlighted the Ottawa School of Art’s commitment to making art accessible, fostering creative exchange, and connecting artists with the wider community.
